Department of Economic Development won 4 Government Quality Awards 2006.

Department of Economic Development won 4 awards in the ceremony held by Sheikh Saqr Program of Government Excellence to honor the winners of the government quality award, in its first launch (2006).
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince, Deputy roler honoured the winners of the award, which included the following categories: Distinguished Government, Distinguished Teamwork, Distinguished Technical solution, Distinguished Administrative Experience, Distinguished Career, which included: Distinguished Director, Distinguished employee(male & female), Distinguished New employee.
By offering these awards, the program aims to establish appropriate infrastructure for quality management and strengthen the spirit of honest competition between different departments and individuals.

The Department of Economic Development won the following awards:
